Why Imaginativity?

Everything we do begins with awareness and attention.

As an entrepreneur who has run a successful digital advertising agency for several years and “connecting the dots” across other seemingly unconnected domains such as standup-comedy, music, film, and yoga, it donned on me that the root of anything that we do in this world today begins with the seed of silence, attention, and awareness.

How we manage that attention as consumers and how that attention is managed and and even honored by imaginative creators, forms the basis of multiple marketplaces from culture to commerce. Moving from imagination to creativity is what I refer to as “Imaginativity.”

I write about stories related to creativity, advertising, media, technology, in an attempt to understand the complexity of how brands successfully capture our attention with creativity, stories, and technology.

About Me

I’m a creative at heart who has had an interesting story of spending several years in the tech industry as a product manager before deciding to move to India and immerse myself in an exciting emerging market. I split my time between Boston and Bangalore, running a digital advertising agency called Bansuri Media. I’m also a recovering standup comedian and an Indian classical musician.
